Five Katz Antiques was opened June 15th, 2015, and closed on June 18th, 2022. We celebrated our 7th anniversary just prior to our closing. It was a 1000 square foot retail store featuring antiques, oddities and vintage items as well as a variety of new items including vinyl records, Case knives, Fisher Price, Tonka and other new toys from Schylling and Archie McFee as well as new books and more.

I maintained a blog about antiques and other topics on our website, and many have been published in the US and Canada. I have been fortunate enough to have had a semi regular column in Florida Today as well as a monthly spot in Vintage Finds Magazine produced in Central Florida. I was interviewed for an article in AARP Magazine, as well as being in print in other publications.

I have kept the website since closing the physical store, and was working towards moving the sales to our website, but the platform is not suitable for this, so I have been selling our remaining inventory on eBay. In preparation of an eventual shutdown of the website for the store, and not wanting to lose the blog, I will be transitioning them to this site. This way the information is still accessible to my readers, both older and new, as I feel the information is still relevant and I hope enjoyable to read.

Due to a busy schedule and recovering from some serious health related issues, I have not been writing, but I hope this transfer will spur me to begin writing again as I did enjoy doing so.

Thanks for reading and I hope you will enjoy the blog.
