Summer Update

Well in case you haven’t noticed, I have made some serious additions to both the quantity of images to the site and the organization of the galleries. I have had a bit of energy of late and have had the motivation to start scanning my slides and negatives from years ago when I made an effort to shoot and produce images at least once weekly. This involved driving to various locations and on some days hiking for many miles to find subjects and locations to photograph.
In showcasing my images this project is beginning to revitalize my passion for photography and my desire to get out and produce new images. Although I produced images almost daily when I had my antique store, and now the eBay store, these images were basically product shots that didn’t vary much, and although were good quality, became sort of mundane to me. Even though I still must produce product shots for eBay, I intend to break past that and get back to what I really enjoy doing.
Living in Florida adds a bit of a challenge to my photography as the seasons and weather really do not change all that much. Due to this, I must work a bit harder to seek out viable and worthy subjects and locations to photograph. In addition to this, having been a photographer for 40 years, I have to continually challenge myself to keep my perspectives fresh and constantly come up with new ideas for images. This can be a real challenge sometimes, but one I seem to enjoy most days.
Thanks for taking time to view my website and images. In this ever increasing pace of our world, it’s good to eek out a bit of time to yourself and I am glad that you found my site and my images worthy of that time. I hope that you stop back to see what’s new from time to time.
